Since making these up a couple of weeks ago, I've been working on the pattern and having it tested. It might not be quite there but the pattern is below, let me know if you find any errors!
Alice-Inspired Mitts
4mm (G) hook
Worsted-weight yarn
I used a 4mm hook and the New Moon colourway yarn from Bristol County Dyeworks. It's a great, soft worsted yarn. My hands are slim but I've received some comments that the mitts are coming out too big. If this is the case, I'd recommend going down to a 3.5mm hook.
Note: this pattern uses US terminology.

From row's 11-23, when you say ch3(counts as the first dc) and then start hdcs... should it be ch2(counts as first hdc) or do we dc at the beginning of the rows?
Thanks
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for your comment. You are right, this has been raised during testing and I'm just about to amend this!
Thanks,
Ellie
Thanks so much for the link to our shop. Your mitts look great!
neat, I made some figerless gloves with a book that I got from the library and wanted to find a free patter, since I didn't like most of the patterns in the book
I loved the Twilight books and saw the movie and didn't notice her gloves, I was looking at her face, since that's what the camra focused on.
They are adorable and will be making these soon, I need some crochet practice before I try to make Amigurumi
I'm a bit confused at row 6. Where it says "dc in next 3 sts" it seems to make sense to me that you would dc in the next 4 sts since we haven't decreased yet. Please help.
When it says to sl st in 1st st to join, do we sl st in the ch3 or the 1st actual after that?
starting at row 24-26 you have at the end of it 4 pattern repeats and at the end of row 27 u have 2 pattern repeats and at the end of row 28 u have 2 pattern repeats what does all of this mean? does it mean that how many times u repeat that same row?
In row 5 you have this written.
*fpdc in next 4 sts, dc in next 4 sts, fpdc in next 4 sts, dc in next st, dc2tog over next 2 sts*
I the dc2tog you are missing a dc in next stitch.
It took me 3 tries to figure this out.
In what row are you supposed to make the thumb hole ...love the pattern but it doesn't have a thumb role please let me know. .
When are you going to post a completely amended version of this pattern? Seems like there were quite a few errors? Thanks!
Jamie
